Lived Experience Collaborative

The Office of Family Courts (OFC) dependency court improvement team has formed a lived experience collaborative. This collaborative has created a network that allows individuals with lived experience in the dependency court system to learn about the different court improvement projects they might be interested in helping with. It also provides opportunities for the dependency team to stay engaged with lived experience individuals, and for them to be engaged with other similar networks across the state.

Previously, this project involved an advisory group that was tasked with discovering barriers that are contributing to the lack of involvement of lived experience professionals within dependency court improvement projects. Utilizing the change management process to address these barriers, we are working on our on-going goal of increasing the involvement of lived experience professionals within dependency court improvement projects.
